WWN: New Year + New System
Bi-Weekly Wednesday Newsletter no. 141[GREETING GOES HERE] What's Going OnAn UpdateLast year, I switched to doing bi-weekly newsletters after over 2 years of doing it weekly. I think that was a really great change. Accountability is valuable, and the weekly newsletter forced me to be accountable and stay in motion. But as of last year, that mindset of simply needing to just push out content no longer served me. So slowing down the cadence made sense. It was helpful to have more time to sit and think not simply about what I did, but how my actions formed me and what type of person I'm becoming. I think I'm reaching a similar threshold again. I'm at a good place, and I would prefer to slow things down even more so I could have more time to reflect. Practically, I'll send another newsletter out on the 21st, but then switch to sending one out on the first Wednesday of every month. Perhaps someday I'll stop the newsletter completely; I think it will be clear when that time comes. But for now, I quite like staying in touch and having the space to send random thoughts. It's also nice to have a living (cringe) record of who I was in the past Random StuffI used Mudboard to redo my Jonadrew portfolio lol Also, I cleaned my room What I've been thinking aboutI started washing my face more and I think like that kind of helps I'm starting to realize that cheese in certain food items are acceptable Something I'm trying to work on is to sit in uncomfortableness and not need to prove or justify myself, which sucks Thank you!Went to Urbana during the new year, and it was very nice to see how God is working throughout the world. Also a good time to reflect on the ways that He is working in our life. Next Newsletter on Jan 21st then Feb 4th! |
